The Spore Patch Ltd is an independent publisher based in the United Kingdom, working across publishing, evidence and — in time — conservation. Its evidence publications are designed to be judged by their sources, methods and transparency rather than institutional authority.
The Spore Patch does not sell supplements, extracts or fungal products, and this site carries no product recommendations.
Publishing philosophy
Different work is held to different standards of truth, and the difference is stated rather than blurred. An evidence publication must survive being checked line by line. A creative work is permitted to be mythological — and is never offered as evidence, nor validated by it.
What the strands share is a disposition: curiosity about fungi and the living systems they belong to, transparency about what is known and what is not, and stewardship of the record over time.

Richard L. Pope is the author of The Fungal Evidence Atlas, published by The Spore Patch Ltd. The work is built on primary literature, an explicit grading framework and a documented verification process, and is offered to be judged on that basis. No academic or institutional endorsement is implied.
Editorial standard
What this site will not do
The Atlas is an audit. Its usefulness depends on the discipline of what it refuses to say.
- It will not state that mushrooms cure or prevent disease.
- It will not present the Atlas as medical advice or as a treatment guide.
- It will not invent reviews, testimonials, endorsements or credentials.
- It will not report grades, references or scientific claims that are absent from the source material.
- It will not sell, recommend or link to supplement products.
- It will not quietly delete a result that later proved inconvenient.
